Danni's is a quirky café that opened its doors for business as part of An Tobairín Health Store at the end of last February. Operated by Danni Dickson McLellan this busy, compact café is fast becoming a firm favourite with locals.

Having spent a few years learning her skills with Lettercollum House Danni offers seriously good food. Everything produced is gluten free and vegetarian with a selection of vegan dishes. There is a range of veggie burgers, soups and super fresh salads along with a range of healthy tasty nibblies.

Danni offers some delicious little sweet treats, perfect for that afternoon slump, apricots dipped in chocolate and rolled in granola, or stuffed dates.

Outside there is an attractive seating area ideal to make the most of the early autumn sun. There is also an internal seating area,at a push Danni can seat approximately 20 people.

Excellent barista coffee is offered, Blue Earth from Java Republic, which is organic and Fair Trade.

The coffee machine incorporates a reverse osmosis filter so nasty chemicals such as fluoride and chlorine are avoided giving a perfect coffee, this is probably the only machine of its type operating in Bandon at present.

A range of herbal teas is offered again supplied by Java Republic, while hot chocolate is from a German company Vivani.

Danni make positive efforts to limit waste so visitors to her café are encouraged to bring their own cup or packaging. There is a box full of surplus packaging that people can use if required. The café area is small but well equipped and designed for such a tight space. There is a delicious aroma emanating from the café which reminds one of the continent.

Attractive and useful accessories are offered for sale such as colourful stainless steel Cheeki reusable cups and bottles which are leak proof with spill proof lids. These come in a range of colours, shape and sizes and make an ideal gift, particularly in the lead up to Christmas. Gift Vouchers are available.

Danni is embracing the challenges of her new venture and building a loyal customer base, she has found the locals very supportive and welcoming. Danni is particularly grateful to Mary Weddel the owner of An Tobairín and her mother Cindy from Zig Zag in Bandon for all their help and support in her new venture.
